=====Remote observing at Effelsberg=====

Remote observing on the 100-meter telescope is possible via VNC. 

This is possible from within the MPIfR-LAN as well as from outside via an ssh-tunnel. 

If you want to do remote observations for the first time, please contact Uwe Bach 
(ubach_at_mpifr.de) or Alex Kraus (akraus_at_mpifr.de) well in advance of your observations. 

People from abroad without an account
at the MPIfR, might get a guest account (for a limited time) on request. 


**For running 
remote observations, you should have some observing experience at the 100-m-telescope!**
